A happy hello - it's bonus weekly deals time from Stampin' Up!

Hi all

I'm really happy that the beautiful Pretty Petal DSP pack is among the selection in the Bonus Deals this week. I used it on one of my class projects last weekend and with paper this pretty you really don't need much more on your project.

For those of you that haven't used Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP) before every piece is double sided unless it's a speciality paper and listed along side each collection you will see a list of colours that it co-ordinates with. No more pretty but useless paper that doesn't match anything! You'll be able to purchase card, ribbon and accessories to match.

See how pretty that paper is!

To make the card:
  • Cut A4 piece of Old Olive card in half lengthways at 10.5cm and score at 14.9cm
  • Adhere Calypso Coral piece 8.3cm x 10.8cm to front as shown
  • Adhere DSP 7.6cm x 10.1cm
  • Cut Old Olive and Very Vanilla circles from Circles Framelits dies on Sizzix Big Shot
  • Stamp greeting from Tin of cards stamp set in black
  • Glue Old Olive Circle down and layer Very Vanilla circle on top with dimensionals
  • Punch 3 Calypso Coral flowers and 3 Old Olive flowers (to be used as petals) from the Petite Petals punch, glue and finish with rhinestones.

Keeping tabs on you box - Stampin' Up! supplies

Hi all

Stampin' Up! have the most gorgeous Tin of cards kit in the new Annual Catalogue BUT....it's so beautiful that 1000's went ahead and ordered it meaning it is now out of stock. It's due back in stock early next month so add it to your order and it will be shipped to you as soon as they can.

So in the mean time I bring you this project:
Box design courtesy of cindyleebeedesigns.com

It holds Stampin' Up! notecards (item 131527) and would make the perfect gift or keep it yourself and get super organised!

To make the box:
Start with card measuring 9 1/2" x 9 3/4"
On the 9 3/4" side score at 4 1/2" and 6 1/2"
On the 9 1/2" side score at 2" and 7 1/2"

Once you have stuck your box together, cut as shown to create the slanted sides.

Everything you need for this project is below. I have been asked to run a class on this project and I'll let you know when I set the date.

Teenage birthday wishes - Stampin' Up!

Hi all

Can't believe that my little Nephew (who is in fact taller than me!) is going to be 13 this week. Obviously that calls for a card. He always opens his cards from me with a 'I hope this is handmade' Well of course!

Here's how to make it:

  • Create a standard A6 card from Smoky Slate card
  • Score the front panel in half and fold back, creasing the fold with a bone folder
  • Cut a piece of DSP to fit the front panel then use the other side for the inside of the card 10x14.5cm
  • Cut 2 circles using circles framelits one from Whisper White and the other Bermuda Bay
  • Stamp candles in Bermuda Bay, Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush then the flame in Daffodil delight. I find using a piercing mat under your card will give a sharper stamped image when working with photopolymer stamps.
  • Cut the 13 from Cucumber Crush using File Tabs die and glue with fine line of Multi Purpose Liquid Glue
  • Put Glue on Bermuda Bay circle on half the circle and glue to front panel
  • Add the stamped circle with dimensionals
  • Stamp Birthday Wishes in Cucumber Crush trim to size and create fishtail ends with Paper Snips, adhere to stamped image with dimensionals

I glued a piece of Whisper white on the back to add my message and stamped greeting.

Spread the love!

Hi all

I had the privilege of attending a Stampin' Up! training day yesterday for our team and had a blast as usual!

There was much laughter, some business talk (cake) and of course lots of stamping! As is customary at these events, we all made swaps and I will show you those later in the week. All I can say is, I belong to a VERY talented group of ladies & gents...yes gents!

We made a 'swap' line and had a great time exchanging our creations. I'm the one in the very loud trousers! 3rd from the right.

My swaps proved popular but that may well be because they were attached to cakes :)

And here's what you need to make the toppers...not the cakes ,sadly, I bought those!

*Sprinkles of life is the Stampin' Up! Ronald McDonald House Charity stamp set of the year, RMHC receive £2 for every stamp set sold. *
